One such item that can be used in several different areas in your landscape design is going to be landscaping timber. Landscaping timber is treated timber that is made to last outside and resist the elements. This article is going to discuss 2 great uses for landscaping timber.

Raised Flower Beds

If you decide that you would like to have some flowers as part of your landscape design, then you probably want these flowers to stick out and look great. An excellent way to really get your flowers to stick out, and catch the attention of those who are looking at your yard, is to put the flowers in raised flower beds. These beds are going to go up above the ground, and then can be created used the landscaping timber. The timber itself is going to look really nice once it has been layered to create a box, and the flowers placed inside are going to add even more beauty to the landscaping timber and will give it a great finished look.

Garden Boxes

When you plant a garden, it is very important that you are able to keep all of your plants separated. You don't want the fruits and vegetables mixing with each other because this can throw off the taste and can create new hybrid plants that generally will not taste the best. By using landscaping timber, you can create multiple garden boxes for your plants. This is not only going to effectively separate all of the different plants that you want to plant in your garden, but the boxes can also be helpful in raising the plants high enough that they aren't going to be as negatively effected if the ground happens to freeze. Things like weeding, watering, and otherwise caring for the plants can also be easier maintained if each species of plant has its own garden box to grow and thrive in.
